 EAT

Spicy Snacks at Wings ‘n Things

Wings ‘n Things has set up shop in the Gulf Gate square, slinging wings on a scale that runs from mild to “napalm” and beyond. The mild wings are tangy without puckering, sweet and salty, and in possession of that intangible taste best described as “Buffalo”-ness. You can get bone-in wings, strips or shrimp, and their menu carries all the requisite sides (potatoes) and alternates (burgers, dogs, etc.). In a slight twist on the orthodox wing-house menu, Wings ‘n Things devotes an entire page of their menu to “South of the Border,” offering Mexican staples such as burritos and empanadas. It all positively begs for a drop or three of hot sauce. Take a trip across the street, where Big Daddy’s Fiery Foods has a wall full of hot sauces that would go perfectly with just about any spicy bar/grill fare.
